1. Scientist use methods like heating, adding acids, looking at closely, and adding other substances to the powders. Using these can help you identify the mystery powder that the murderer may have left behind.
2. This is useful in preparing for our mission because if the criminal has only left behind a mystery powder and we need to match it. Doing this lab has taught us how to do that incase that is the only thing left.
